The Academy is run by a small independent project, so mail reaches a person rather than a queue. Use the address above and you will normally get a reply within a few business days.
Corrections to a lesson or a question
This is the mail we most want to receive. If a date range, a type name, a measurement or an explanation is wrong, tell us at admin@artifactid.org — name the lesson or quote the question, say what is wrong, and point to a source if you have one. Corrections are made on the site rather than argued about.
General questions and feedback
Questions about how the Academy works, requests for a track or an artifact type you would like covered, accessibility problems, and bug reports all go to admin@artifactid.org. If you are reporting a bug, the page you were on and the browser you used are usually enough for us to reproduce it.
Privacy, data and deletion requests
Privacy questions and any request about your data go to privacy@artifactid.org, which is the address named in our Privacy Policy. The Academy stores your progress in your own browser and holds no account, so you can erase everything it has kept at any time from Settings, without contacting us at all.
Contributing an artifact
To submit an artifact from your own collection to the Artifact ID reference library — with photographs, measurements and provenance — use the contributor portal at artifactid.org. Help with a submission already in progress is at artifactid.org/support.
Advertising and business enquiries
Advertising on the Academy is handled entirely through Google AdSense; we do not sell placements directly. For anything else — partnerships, press, educational use of the material — write to admin@artifactid.org.
What we cannot help with
We cannot identify, authenticate, appraise or value an artifact from a photograph, and we do not give opinions on whether a piece is genuine or what it is worth. Those questions need a qualified archaeologist or a recognised institution, not a study tool. We also cannot advise on the legality of a particular find or collection — that depends on where it came from and on the law where you are.
